Meet the APNPI Judges!
Our Image Competition is quickly approaching and we’d like to introduce you to our APNPI Judges! Judges have completed the APNPI Judges Training and are respected members of the industry spanning various styles and genres of maternity, newborn and baby photography.
Submissions are now open for all categories of our Image Competition. Want some support and feedback on which images would be good to submit? Consider participating in our membership community group on Facebook to ask for feedback and critique! This is a great way to make sure your submission is ready and a wonderful way to experience image critiques before our image competition deadline dates.

Russ Jackson
– Russ is a specialist newborn baby photographer and educator. He has been a portrait photographer for 21 years and started photographing newborn babies in 2011. Since then, he has established himself as one of the worlds leading newborn photography educators. Through his in-person workshops and mentoring services, he has helped over 550 photographers from 36 countries succeed in newborn photography. He is regularly invited to teach and present at international symposiums and conferences. In 2018, he launched the Russ Jackson Academy, an online resource for newborn and maternity photographers. Russ also runs Russ Jackson Photography, one of London’s leading portrait photography studios.
Kayleigh Ashworth – Kayleigh is an APNPI accredited, multi-award winning artist, recognized as one the best Maternity and Newborn Photographers in the Inland Empire; and operates a successful portrait studio located within the heart of Downtown Murrieta, in Southern California. Established in 2015, Kayleigh Ashworth Photography has helped countless women hone in on their artists skills, foster confidence in working with newborns, emphasizing safety above all, and maximize business goals. Kayleigh and her work have been featured on the comedy series ‘The Try Guys’, featured on CBS8 San Diego News, and has had a televised interview with Intuit Quickbooks featured as an inspirational story for other businesses. After years of experience serving families from all walks of life, and furthering her education with industry leaders, Kayleigh now offers 1:1 Mentoring, as well as online tutorials and Adobe Photoshop actions for those wanting to expand their knowledge. It is Kayleigh’s mission to raise the standard of Newborn Photography – in safety, quality, and performance – and empower women to thrive within their business by sharing her knowledge and experiences learned throughout her career.
Amanda Capello
– Amanda is a maternity, newborn, and portrait photographer based out of phoenix, AZ. She started my photography journey as an assistant film wedding photographer to my mom when I was in grade school, from there my love for photography began. Amanda went on to be a high school math teacher , but always pursuing photography alongside. When she had children of her own, her passion for maternity and newborn portraits grew. She was able to quit her teaching career and now, photography is all she does and loves! Amanda has been a photographer for as long as she can remember, but a maternity and newborn photographer for the past 10 years. In this time, she has been blessed to be able to niche down, brand herself to stand out and break into the luxury market. Amanda has also hosted many shootout workshops and has launched online classes on newborn photography, and am always looking to help others build and grow in their business and photography skills!

Amy Guenther
– Amy is one of the owners of Sweet Little You Photography and The Newborn Nerds. She and Lindsey have been perfecting the art of newborn posing for over 10 years and now travel and teach other newborn photographers around the country. They have photography studios in Cedar Falls and Urbandale, Iowa.
Jennifer Robyn
– Jennifer is the acting Social Media Manager for APNPI and is the owner/operator of Shutterbug Imaging ~ located in Courtice, Ontario, Canada.
Jennifer travels to her clients’ to hold her session in the comfort, warmth and safety of their home, serving the GTA, Durham Region, Clarington and Northumberland County.
She is an Award-winning, Published photographer and an Accredited APNPI Member in the categories of Newborn Posed and Maternity.
She has also been mentoring newborn photographers for five years; offering 1:1 hands-on learning.
