Meet the APNPI Judges!
Our next round of Accreditation is quickly approaching and we’d like to introduce you to our APNPI Judges! Judges have completed the APNPI Judges Training and are respected members of the industry spanning various styles and genres of maternity, newborn and baby photography.
Applications are now open for our QNP Certified members to apply for accreditation in one of our 10 categories. Want some support and feedback on which images would be good to submit? Consider participating in our Feedback Friday sessions where our judges critique image submissions from within our membership community group on Facebook. This is a great way to make sure your submission is ready and a wonderful way to experience image critiques before our accreditation deadline dates. Pay attention in the FB group for more information.

Lisa Digeso – Lisa is The owner of Milk & Honey photography & founder of The Milky Way ~ a Photographers Resource. As a photographer she has 10 years of experience working with tiny newborns, focusing and teaching on safety, posing, lighting & business. The Milky Way is the creator of The online Retreat Series, & The Joyful Photographer. Lisa loves to encourage, empower and educate photographers to create the business, Art & loves of their dreams. Lisa lives in Kamloops BC, white her hubby, son & 3 Maine coon cats.
Kayleigh Ashworth – Kayleigh is an APNPI accredited, multi-award winning artist, recognized as one the best Maternity and Newborn Photographers in the Inland Empire; and operates a successful portrait studio located within the heart of Downtown Murrieta, in Southern California. Established in 2015, Kayleigh Ashworth Photography has helped countless women hone in on their artists skills, foster confidence in working with newborns, emphasizing safety above all, and maximize business goals. Kayleigh and her work have been featured on the comedy series ‘The Try Guys’, featured on CBS8 San Diego News, and has had a televised interview with Intuit Quickbooks featured as an inspirational story for other businesses. After years of experience serving families from all walks of life, and furthering her education with industry leaders, Kayleigh now offers 1:1 Mentoring, as well as online tutorials and Adobe Photoshop actions for those wanting to expand their knowledge. It is Kayleigh’s mission to raise the standard of Newborn Photography – in safety, quality, and performance – and empower women to thrive within their business by sharing her knowledge and experiences learned throughout her career.
Shan Fisher is an international photographer educator, motivational speaker and the owner and CEO of two successful companies –Shan Fisher Photography and Shan Fisher Education. She is specialized in the timeless white and emotional storytelling photography style. She built my 6 figure photography business from the ground up, while being the mum of two little boys. She is one of the most sought-after photographers on Isle of Man, British Isles and has received the Awards of Excellence Enterprise for 2 consecutive years (2018 & 2019). Her signature training and coaching programs, which give photographers a streamlined business framework, modern marketing techniques, and support to develop an entrepreneurial mindset for success. Her purpose is to empower photographers to follow their dreams, overcome their limiting beliefs, discover their true potential and self-worth, and build a profitable business with passion and compassion, so they can live the life they love!
Tamarind Spender is a professional newborn photographer in Guelph, ON. She mainly focuses on newborns but also enjoys photographing maternity, sitters and cake smash sessions!
Tamarind has been photographing newborns since January of 2014 and absolutely LOVES it!!
She’s had a camera in her hand since she was 18 years old! She learned to shoot film and worked at Black’s Photography through high school and into University.
Her inspiration for starting her own business in photography was her little one. She wanted her to always know that taking a chance on something you love is worth it, no matter how it works out. She wanted to show her how to have confidence and follow her heart through life.
